Aritex Atlantic has consolidated its position in Nantes as an essential strategic partner for Airbus, strengthening and expanding the long-standing collaboration between the Aritex group and the aeronautical giant. From its French headquarters, the subsidiary understands first-hand the European manufacturer’s needs, anticipates its challenges and contributes to optimising its facilities, demonstrating a very high level of technical expertise to respond to the most complex engineering challenges.
When it opened its office in Nantes three years ago, the Aritex Group chose a strategic location to bring its resources and technical know-how closer to one of its key customers: a demonstration of commitment that highlights Aritex’s ongoing strategic investment in staying close to its customers.
This local presence is part of a global expansion strategy that has led Aritex to set up strategic offices wherever they are required, accompanying its customers around the world: Volkswagen in Mexico, Boeing in the United States, Airbus, COMAC and AVIC in Shanghai, Embraer in Brazil, and Airbus and GE in France, among others.
In this second part of our interview, we continue our conversation with Carlos Yus, Programme Manager at Aritex Atlantic, to discover how the French subsidiary combines engineering and innovation in each project.

Engineering at the service of safety and efficiency
The subsidiary works on developing projects to introduce new production lines at our customers’ facilities, or to modify and improve existing lines, to support them when they need to increase their production. As Carlos Yus explains: “Our installations integrate mechanical structures and designs with automation of mostly electrical and pneumatic movements. The aim of this integration is to provide the customer with the means necessary to ensure that its production is safe, ergonomic and productive.”
This attention to detail is a feature of the Aritex Atlantic team. “Airbus takes the time to clearly explain what it expects from each supplier, and we tailor our solutions to those specifications. Our customers are demanding; they expect Aritex to deliver the best results, comply with technical and contractual specifications, and provide a guarantee that all safety measures are adhered to throughout the project. Quality is also a critical issue for our customers and is non-negotiable.”
The focus on safety and ergonomics guides every decision. “Our goal is to automate certain manual processes to facilitate work and increase line productivity, improve movements that were previously done by hand and, in general, make the facilities efficient and very safe,” adds Carlos.
The strength of international collaboration
Aritex Atlantic benefits from the vast global knowledge of the Aritex group. “When we face complex challenges, we draw on the know-how of the group and all its subsidiaries. This means that we can offer more comprehensive solutions and anticipate potential problems,” explains Carlos. Moreover, its strategic location in Nantes facilitates access to key local suppliers, which is essential for complex projects.
This combination of global experience, close contact and execution capacity has brought Aritex and Airbus into an even closer relationship. “Direct contact with the customer is essential. Being present in the region allows us to anticipate Airbus’s plant movements and prepare in advance. This opens up new opportunities and allows us to take on projects that we didn’t previously have the capacity for,” summarises Carlos.
It is precisely this proximity that has created a relationship of trust that has strengthened over time. “What sets us apart is how we combine the group’s global experience with performing the task locally. Aritex is a key supplier to Airbus in strategic and highly complex projects, with a high degree of automation. And, thanks to Aritex Atlantic’s presence in Nantes, we can also support the customer in their day-to-day needs, regardless of their size or scope. This proximity and responsiveness allows us to be present wherever Airbus needs us and makes us a highly trusted partner for the aeronautical company,” he concludes.
Aritex Atlantic represents a coming together of global experience and local execution, a balance that has allowed it to consolidate its role as a strategic partner of Airbus in France. Its commitment to experience, efficiency and innovation, together with its proximity to the customer, reinforces mutual trust and opens up new opportunities for collaboration. With each project, the French subsidiary demonstrates that technical excellence and adaptability are the basis for a lasting and future-oriented relationship in the aeronautical sector.
