Developing new assembly lines in the automotive industry not only entails technical precision, but also a comprehensive management capacity that ensures efficiency, speed and reliability. Companies in this market need solutions that reduce complexity, minimise risks and guarantee that everything is ready for production without any delays.
That is where turnkey projects come into play. These are based on a formula that is increasingly appreciated by automobile manufacturers to optimise the implementation of new production facilities. By using this model, all the responsibility for the project can be delegated to one single supplier, from initial engineering to commissioning the line.
At Aritex, much of our growth has taken place in this sector. Our experience in creating and implementing innovative engineering solutions in the automotive industry has permitted us to learn many valuable lessons that have shaped our know-how and positioned us as a leader in the comprehensive management of international industrial engineering projects. In this article, we will explain why the turnkey model is so important in developing assembly lines and the values that set Aritex apart.

Key benefits of turnkey projects in the automotive sector
Reduction of risks and errors
When a project is broken up amongst several suppliers, communication breakdowns and technical incompatibilities between phases can lead to delays and cost overruns. When you place management in the hands of one single supplier, such risks are significantly reduced.
Aritex applies methodologies that ensure detailed planning, constant checking and quality control in every phase.
Deadline and budget control
One of the primary concerns of any manufacturer is meeting delivery deadlines. In a sector like the automotive industry, where a constant throughput is an absolute must of assembly lines, there is no room for surprises.
Turnkey projects enable schedules to be centrally managed, facilitating the early detection of deviations and a more efficient assignment of resources
Technological and functional coherence
When all the systems are developed in an integrated manner, you have a guarantee of greater cooperation between the different line components: transport systems, assembly stations, tooling, welding systems, etc. Efficiency can be improved when all the elements “speak the same language”. Furthermore, solutions can be eventually updated or scaled up into larger projects.
One single interlocutor for the entire process
This point may look obvious, but in practice it means a big change in day-to-day management. Having just one partner responsible for all the phases means less meetings, fewer emails, fewer coordination issues and, above all, more time to focus on strategy and business.
Aritex offers the added value of being a technical and strategic collaborator, with a multidisciplinary team that can take on everything from conceptual engineering to final commissioning in the plant.
Flexibility and Precision in Platform Manufacturing: SEAT León + CUPRA Formentor Project
As part of our collaboration with SEAT, one of the leading manufacturers in the automotive sector, Aritex has developed a highly automated production line for the manufacturing of platforms for the SEAT León and CUPRA Formentor models. This project stands out for its focus on flexibility, automation, and geometric precision—key pillars to meet the production demands of two different models on the same line, including both combustion and hybrid versions. All of this while achieving the high standards of quality, productivity, and safety required by our client.
The solution designed by Aritex includes several production lines composed of flexible and efficient automatic welding stations capable of adapting to the production requirements of two different models and all their variants. This is achieved through high-precision geometry tools and robotic handling and joining systems. This configuration enables efficient and adaptable production, ensuring the structural quality of the platform/frame, process repeatability, and a reliable and robust assembly.
The scope of the project covered a detailed study of the production processes, the design of an optimized layout, off-line simulation of the entire process, and virtual commissioning, which allowed for technical feasibility validation prior to implementation. In addition, the necessary quality control tools were developed and manufactured, and pre-series parts were produced prior to the start of series production.
Thanks to a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach, Aritex successfully delivered a robust, safe, and efficient solution, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in turnkey projects for the automotive industry.
The strategic value of Aritex in the turnkey approach
Adopting a turnkey management model is not just a technical decision, it is a strategic commitment. It enables manufacturers to move faster, reduce uncertainty and focus on what really matters: improving the end product, accelerating its launch onto the market and quickly responding to consumer needs.
The automotive sector is undergoing a major transition to digitalisation and sustainability, and having Aritex as one single partner, who can anticipate, adapt and carry out projects with a focus on excellence and centralised management, is the best decision.
We offer solutions that specialise in automating BIW production lines, bodywork lines and final assembly, all of which are completely robotic and automated. Our approach is 100% personalised and every solution is designed with the client, their products and work processes in mind.
We cover everything from robotic stations to verification benches with artificial vision, adaptive tools and smart transport systems. We have all know-how you need for the key technologies in the sector and we know how to integrate them into highly demanding environments.
With a presence in Europe, Asia and America, Aritex has the capacity to accompany out clients no matter where they are. Thanks to our teams of specialised engineers, we can adapt to local regulations and the logistical challenges posed by each project.
Now consider all these benefits with the added advantage of not having to depend on several suppliers, but rather one single partner who can guarantee the success and effective application of the engineering design you need. If you are seeking a technological partner who understands the challenges of the sector and can offer a complete and personalised solution, Aritex and our turnkey projects are the answer.
