ŠKODA RAPID / Octavia (SK-25X /SK-37X)
A unique production line has been developed for the manufacture of three different versions of ŠKODA and SEAT models. This manufacturing process combines automation with human intervention, using geometry tools to assemble the parts that will make up the complete assembly.
In addition, robotic joining applications are used to ensure efficient and precise joining of the different parts. Production flexibility is achieved thanks to an automatic system that allows tooling to be changed according to the model being manufactured at the time.
As for the quality and finish of the products, a special laser welding application has been implemented and is used to weld the visible areas. This ensures precise and high-quality welding in the areas that will be visible on the finished vehicles.

Challenge to solve
The challenge was to solve the efficiency of assembly lines, guaranteeing the quality of the final product and preserving a safe environment for workers in the context of an automated work process.
Proposed solution
The proposed solution consisted of carrying out a detailed study and developing viable and efficient production processes, as well as designing an optimized layout adapted to the space available according to the client’s needs.
Execution
The execution of the project included the design and manufacture of the means of production to produce parts in the pre-production stage, together with the execution of the final quality control of the product in accordance with the quality standards required by our client.
In addition, the installation and commissioning of the project was carried out with a team of experts and multidisciplinary professionals, trained in the customer’s specific standards.

Aritex Atlantic: three years of expansion in France
Since its beginnings in 1961, Aritex has been a byword for innovation and progress in industrial engineering. Founded by the Arias and Teixidó families, the company has evolved over more than six decades from the creation of tools for the automotive industry to the development of turnkey systems for industrial sectors worldwide. In 2022, its international expansion took a key step forward with the opening of Aritex Atlantic in Nantes, France, a strategic location close to leading aeronautical plants, which has consolidated the group’s position in the French market.
We spoke with Carlos Yus, Programme Manager at Aritex Atlantic, who shared his insights on how he leads the subsidiary, tackles technical challenges and coordinates strategic projects for leading clients in the sector.
How Aritex and SEAT/CUPRA are reinventing on-site learning thanks to augmented reality
Innovation is a way of life in large industrial plants. SEAT/CUPRA have taken this approach and turned it into a method where the company opts for exploring technologies that can transform day-to-day tasks into more efficient processes.

You may think that concluding an installation or commissioning a turnkey project means that the job is over. You may even think that, at this point, the teams that designed and implemented the technological solutions to successfully overcome the client’s production challenges will pack their bags and say goodbye. Nothing could be further from the truth.
